Ive been in totk hell but while I was playing, I wondered why I was doing things faster. Or more accurately why I finished the main quest faster.
Its because of the storyline!!!!! Theres a sense of urgency!! Like even more urgency than botw!! In that game you could go HOURS without doing the main story BC YOU WOULDNT SEE ANYONE
I spent a good 100 hours just wandering around not only because I was exploring but I could do resource gathering without touching the towns.
But totk!!! TOTK has people EVERYWHERE. They're walking the roads, they're camping in forests (heck addision was on the side of a mountain the madlad). It's populated and people are united and fighting in a way that botw's people didn't. It's so cool and I'm still scared of fighting anything harder than a boko but I get invested and I bring koroks to their friends (albeit with a sigh), I rush through the main quest because I know Zelda! I'm invested in her!! I want her back.
And damn do they sell the urgency. Everyone is worried, everyone wants to find Zelda and Link, everyone wants to HELP. It's such a perfect difference to botw and its quiet solitude and peaceful apathy.
